Thanks for all the wishes and prayers for my well being during today's surgery, you sentimental ba$tards and beotches! In the scheme of things this was a VERY minor bump in the road, if a bump at all. Still, you guys are my friends (man am I high!) and your support, jokes, and prayers gave me great comfort.

I remember nothing. Right now, I feel almost nothing except relief that it is over. The cut on my finger from working in the yard the other day hurts worse. Best of all, after my recuperation (4-6 weeks) I will be able to again do some of the things I could not do before surgery.

The strangest thing today was when the surgeon met with me in recovery. He said he had never seen a hernia with hair and teeth!

Whoooeee! These hydrocodone are amazing! I see why Rush and Favre liked them so much.

I will post pictures tomorrow.

    Glad you are alive and kicking. It would be a shame to have to hunt a replacement Mateo. Tomorrow you might be feeling a bit different about the surgery, but that too will pass. Hang in there. swamp_thing

    Good luck.....I've had that surgery twice, and once the drugs wear off, you are going to be a hurting pup for a while.

    If you haven't done it yet, start carrying a small pillow, and if you have to sneeze, or cough etc., press it into your gut over the wound. Otherwise you are going to be in for a rude reminder of how often you use your gut muscles [:p]

    And lift no more weight than a six-pack !

    I am busy searching the web for a picture of a guy with a six pack with a fresh hernia scar.
