At first I was extremely nervous when I first found out my wife was 15 years younger than I was (22/37)... fortunately we had already been dating for about 2 weeks before I found out ... then I decided to see if it would work.

That was 12 years ago and I couldn't be happier.

Why toss it aside.... it could be perfect... I knew a couple farther apart than that... they were one of the happiest couples I have ever known.... In a country where divorce is at a rate of 60% what difference does it make...Odds are against you no matter what age she is....
Give it chance and see what happens. It would be a terrible mistake throw away a potential ms. perfect....

I think you should get married then get out of Cuba as fast as you can, then buy a farm in Minnesota, raise corn and as many children as you can. Teach them to read the Bible and secretly build an underground bunker stocked with red wine.

It's only weird if she does the "Oh Daddy!" thing in the sack.

But hey, as I once told my (now) fiance, "Weird or not, your particular fetish is pure gold for me!"[:D][:p]

Of the 3 top regrets in my life 2 of them include having sex.Of the 3 greatest high lights of my life 2 include having sex. With regard to the 3rd in each category, both include the lack of sex.So what the hell,it's really very simple. You can choose to have sex and regret it later or,you can choose not to have sex and regret it later.Just take it as it comes.Enjoy thinking about it as much as possible, and regret not knowing what to do.Hope this helps

No worries unless she wants to move in with you or you get her pregnant.

Why not? Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Dawnie is 17 years my junior and I am darn lucky to have her in my life. The calendar years are not nearly as important as the attitude, and in many ways, she is older than I.

The fact that both her parents died by the time she was 18 either made her completely crazy, or else matured her beyond her years. So, probably she is much more mature than the average 23 year old.

What have you got to loose? Give it a shot and see where it leads.

BTW, We really need pictures to help you with this decision.

For next date, take a movie along. Murphy's Romance w/ James Garner would be a good choice.

Are you sure that Toy Story wouldn't be a better choice?

At the time my sister met Mark she was a little more than twice his age. After thirteen years of marriage their still running strong.

She's shown a lot of courage to face you with this, and that should say something about her. Maturity not age makes a relationship.

Age is nothing but numbers. Dated a young attractive gal for about 6 months that was 30 years younger than me. She enjoyed it and so did I. We both knew it wasn't going anywhere; but, we enjoyed our time together. There's a lot of women that just prefer older men. Met many of them and married one 17 years younger than me. Been together now for 15 years. A younger woman will help keep you young and besides it will make everyone else ask themselves "what's he got". Go for it!

When is this going to happen to you again? Go for it or 40 years from now you will be sitting in shady acres kicking yourself.

  • CA sucks
she used to date a 42 year old, how long ago, shes only 23?!
If its not some twisted psuedo-incestuous desire for a father figure to replace her dad, go for it. If she just wants to have sex with you to keep you around so she can feel like she has a dad again, thats weird, but go for it anyway, it should be a fun ~2 weeks.

How old are you anyway? twice her age- 46? -23 years older?
How old was she when dating the 42 year old?

I disagree about the stay away from classmates thing, according to our college paper's surveys, class is the number 1 place to meet members of the opposite sex. Bars lead to akward one night stands, but study buddies and studying together leads to partying together after midterms and such, leads to sleeping together after finals...

Oh and my mom's 13 years younger than my dad, and they are going on an Alaskan cruise soon to celebrate their 25th anniversery.

13 years difference can work, but 23, 10 more years - who knows

I dont get it. Are you saying "I cant do it" because you think it would be like taking candy from a baby? If so, dont flatter yourself.
If you're assuming a long term relationship is in the making that you want to make a judgement on at this point: you are just a little premature.
Maybe you're just putting us on.

Just go out with her and see what happens. I never felt bad for dating women who were 10-15 years older than me, and they didn't seem to regret it.

Hit it like a gypsy hits a tambourine.

Like Sonny Bono hit a tree.

Like John Denver hit the Pacific.
