homeowner had right to resist
Cops break laws trying to serve civil papers, homeowner gets aquitted on most counts, time served on last one.

Damn....maybe there is some sanity breaking out in this country after all....
On a side note, any one else notice that the female deputy was the one disarmed, which resulted in the injury to her partner....score another one for political correctness0 -
Note to self...
Always follow the officers' commands.
Fight the legality of their actions after you've proven yourself to be no threat to the officers' safety.
Why be such a wussie, you ask?
So you don't get your dumb ass shot.
I agree the homeowner was in the right. He had every right to defend his wife. Which could have gotten his dumb ass shot.
Better part of Valor and all that...0 -

He shouldn't have been charged for the tazer. Thankfully there are still men in todays society. 0 -
I respect and appreciate good LEO's. But there are at least a few bad LEO's running around out there. Now we all know that some citizens are only kept honest because their fear of being caught. It is possible that some of the bad LEO's are only kept somewhat in line because they fear a lawful citizen being mistreated will lead to such a confrontation as described in the Herald-Tribune story.
I'm not saying to mistrust the police or resist over just anything you feel like resisting. Just making an observation here.0 -

Well, I'd rather live and fight it out in court, knowing that I was in the right than get killed and have only the officers' version of the story told.
I reiterate; The guy in the story was in the right and I'm just glad that he didn't get killed during the police officer's illegal search.0
