my wife, mother, and myself just finished canning 26 quarts of juice . that will probley wrap up the tomatoes f0r this year

    out of curiosity how long will tomatoes last canned? I wish I could get my girlfriend in to canning....

    My mom would can so much stuff when my sisters and I were younger. Probably a total of 200 + cans of green beans, 100 cans of tomatoes, fruit, jelly. If it could be canned or frozen, my mom did it. A complete upright freezer was dedicated to frozen corn and fruit. My mother in law wondered once how my parents feed 5 people on 20,000 year income when crop prices were low and it was because everything we ate was grown.
