Lathe - inserted in tail stock or head stock.
Most people Machinists / Tool Makers / etc using a Ream in a Vertical mill will use a Collet.0 -
Any machine with a morse taper, same "cutter" can be had with a straight shank for other machines.
(I have used MT/shank reamers in a drill press and a lathe[;)])
You use a reamer to get a good finish/accurate size hole.
