November 4th is when it actually changes (least I think it is) but both comps here said it changed this morning or last nite if you prefer...

I guess mine had downloaded the new stuff from Microsoft when I reloaded the new hard drive, because it is still correct.

If you have the clock option to automatically synchronize it should reset itself back to the normal clock time when the time comes to check the microsoft server. If your computer is offline at this time or you don't have the option check it will not synchronize itself.

For users of Microsoft Operating Systems there was a specific software update released about a year ago that updated the OS for the change in Daylight Savings Time. If automatic updates was not turned on the updates were probably never downloaded and applied.

My XP system didn't change. Ttbomk Arizona & Alaska are the only two states with sense enough to ignore the time change nonsense.

We dont "do" the automatic updates...and with good reason...

Your machine can become inoperable with a lot of updates...better to pick and choose what updates you want for your comp, not have them automatically downloaded and installed..
