bush preventing mexican to be executed in america
anyone following this case ? a man born in mexico came to the US illegally when he was 4 yrs old. when he was 18 he raped and murdered a 14 yr old and 16 yr old girl in texas. he was tried and convicted and sentenced to death.
the bush admin is arguing he shouldnt be executed and he should be retried because a 1963 international law says that a foreign national has to be told they have a right to have counsel from their home country.
these are the same international law that bush ignores everyday with terrorist suspects.

He should be six foot under already for his criminal actions. But we all know that don't happen here! We have to pay for them, put a roof over their head, feed them, clothe them and make them stronger, then educate them and then finaly execute them 12 years later. [:(!] 0 -

I was a Democrat up until the late 1990's and voted for Clinton both times. Changed sides because I didn't like the direction I believed he was taking our country.
But I have to say that I'm to the point that I dislike Bush MORE than Clinton.0 -

If you are asking then you have thought about it enough to answer your own question.
The judge should have shot him right after the death sentence was read in the courtroom. And I have NEVER been a bush fan and NEVER will. I'd debated to go into the military b/c I've decided against becoming a doctor but I'm going to wait until he is out of office b/f looking into it anymore. I want to find out how many other wars he is going to start before going on active duty.0 -
Huh. How many executions took place in Texas on Mr. Bush's watch as Governer? And, if I recall correctly, this is the same enlightened leader who rejected the idea of using DNA testing to prove/disprove the guilt of persons on Texas' death row. Said he had complete faith that the system works, no need for scientific testing to verify what he saw as being already perfect -- or close enough to not matter.
All out the window now that he's President and apparently wants to work some deal with our neighbors south of the border. What sets me off is that the question he's challenging this case on isn't even one of guilt or innocence, but of procedure. I know procedure can have a lot to do with the fairness of the trial a person gets, but in nothing I've read in the papers is that the question, here. Perfectly willing to risk executing an innocent American citizen, to the point of opposing DNA testing where it applied -- but wants a guilty man spared who was already a criminal by virtue of simply being in this country.
Given the choices I was offered at the time, I'd still go back and vote for Mr. Bush, both times, knowing everything I know now -- but, as one who voted for him, I have a particular right to be unhappy. At least with Bill Clinton you knew the guy was a professed moral relativist who'd argue the right or wrong of an issue based on the definition of the word "is". I hated that point about him, but at least I knew where things stood. This President keeps me guessing, and lately I'm guessing that where things stand ain't good.0 -

Bush loves Mexicans. He grew up with them and gives them preferential treatment. That's why he was and will never be serious about stopping illegal immigration. He just lies, lies, and lies.
