Speaking of houses....looking at real estate!
I have been wanting to build a house on some land my family owns FOREVER!!!! I have waited years and years to build a home....aggrivation and setbacks have always put things "on the back burner" so we never have even really started.
The other day we were in the car and agreed to just look into buying something. We really would like to be in a home that is big enough for our family and get to live in it BEFORE our kids start moving out. Now....the looking starts and BOY is that aggrivating and at the same time exciting!
I drove around a lake area I used to adore as a kid (grandparents had a lake home there years ago) and it is now COVERED UP with new homes and tiny-next to each other lots. Only a few are on the water and WOW are they expensive! I don't know what this is going to lead to...but wish me luck!

There are just TOO many listings and none of what I really wanted. I need 4 bedrooms and would like to have one main level (Paw Paw can't get up and down steps very well and we LOVE Paw Paw.) The price needs to be around 250,000 so we don't have to stress out trying to get it. I don't know what I will end up with....I would LOVE to be on some waterfront of some kind....river or lake would be fine with me. 0 -
Buy you some land and have these people build your home. They are reasonable beyond belief. Homes around here custom built were 90-100 sf 1 year ago. They did ours for $58 SF and it is a custom built home. No charge for blueprint modifications. They do limited building in Alabama. House plans online. Price has probably went up a little.

build a concrete gun room with underground shooting range and then build the rest of the house around it. That's what I would like to do. 0
