im torn between two used pistols both condition between 90-95%

a Kimber 1911 custom II with 5 inch barrel $600

a Ruger Blackhawk 44mag 6 1/2 barrel stainless/ laminate grips $500

    I Love shooting wheel guns.....but you can never go wrong with a good .45! bad split!

    you'll get allot more use out of the 1911, i have 2 44 mags, shot 1 of them earlier this year for the first time in almost 10 years, ammo is expensive, and you really don't enjoy them after about 50 rounds

    i sort of leaning toward th ekimber fo rone reason. plinking fun that if need be is a good gun when called upon. the 44 while completely badass may not be as fun in the long run

    The price seems a bit high on the blackhawk, but the kimber would be a good buy for the money.

    ruger ...you can shoot & reload any combo from 44 russian to 44 mag & plink or hunt with this gun

    I'd get the Kimber. You can also buy conversion kits for Kimbers that makes ammo even less expensive.

    Good price on the Kimber, not so good price on the Ruger.
    Me self would get the Kimber and look for a more fairly priced Ruger.

    Both are common as dirt. Get a Schofield in .44 Russian or a Chinese Broomhandle in .45 ACP if you want to visit the land of "ahhhhhh's".
