Finally got my deer rifle!
Well yesterday I went up to my uncle's house up in Northern Washington to get my deer rifle for this fall. A beautiful Ruger no.1 in 30-06. It doesn't have a scope yet, but I will get one this summer. Picked her up for 450 bucks. Not a bad deal. Hope the pic works! [:)]

I couldn't figure out the photobucket thing on how to post pictures so I just put a link on here. There's also a picture of my Sig Sauer p226 on there.

Nice rifle, Frank. I love single shots but I'm a recoil wuss. I prefer smaller caliber for deer. It should shoot very well for you. 0 -
Congrats, nice rifle. But I'm like guntach, .06 rattles me teeth.[;)] 0 -
[8D]-Well you know, Frank you HAVE to sight it in at , probably 100 yds----
--Set it at 1-1/2 inches high and =--WOW--
--If you can't
forget it--

Yeah I plan on getting a Burris or Leupold scope for it and sighting it in as soon as possible. I don't think that will be very soon though because I need to find myself a job. 0 -
Congratulations on a great rifle!
I have killed over 40 deer with the 30-06. What a great round.
Like jimbowby said, 1 1/2 inches high at 100, and...
fuhgettabouttit.
Good luck!0 -
I recommend the Burris Fullfield II scope. Just put one on my grandfather's old Remington 760 this past season and love it. $200 at Cabelas (they also mounted it for free). 0
