ground under walkway gone???
Under part of my concrete walkway there is a hole that looks like it was caused by water erosion. What should I do to fix this? I was thinking of dummping some gravel and sand in there, would that do it?

Could mean that you have a leak in a water main or storm drain also. If you have city utilities (water, sewer, storm drain) you might want to let the city check it out first. 0 -
Yeah, I would say you want to know where the soil is going. Just tossing in more might very well not solve the problem. 0 -
On the other side of the walkway I had a gap around the main drain pipe that was allowing water under the walkway (was like this when I moved in). I since patched that up with hydrolic cement and when i was landscaping this last weekend is when I noticed this other hole. Water leaking should be fixed now. This walkway is right up against my house, not the sidewalk out on the street. 0
