No experience with the PM9, but I love my P3AT. Use a leather wallet holster in my back pocket. Jeans or shorts, it doesn't matter. Very light.

I've also used to carry a Kel-Tec P-11. Use a holster in my front pocket, but I found it to be too heavy.

I carry a PM9. Cost is not a factor in reliability. Kahr eats anything and is fairly accurate.

It is entirely a matter of personal preference. I actually like the .380 for a concealable and controlable pocket gun, and for many/most personal defense scenarios IN MY AREA this is adequate because a comfortable carry gun rarely gets left home. The 9mm has more punch, but then so does a 12 gauge shotgun.

Have never held or shot either, however, here is a comparison chart for your consideration:

    I have a P3AT, but carry a Kahr P45.

I love em both, but the Kahr reigns supreme.

between the two the Kahr and before the Kel Tec I would go with the firestorm or the Bersa
