I'm physically BEAT and a THE Big Guy is not happy
I've been chairman of our fresh fruit committee in my Lions Club. For the past 3 months I've been setting up a network between grower and trucker and members to ship, accept and sell fruit. Over the past 3 days I've rescheduled our workers up to 2 times a day and have followed the trucks progress as he did everything to prolong the trip short of cutting the engine off and not restarting. It finally took my calling our local sheriff to stop traffic so they could extricate the truck from a dead end street with no turn-around and escort him to the rescue squad so we could unload.
It was only 30 hrs late. In that time I had rescheduled our members 4 times to change all their other plans so they could be at the local rescue squad to unload the truck and start selling fruit so we could make some money to be able to help the people we serve with eyeglasses and hearing aids, continue to run our Diabetes camps for young kids, etc., etc.
Well, I just have to say our guys came through like champs. We all busted our asses unloaded the fruit and put a dent into the 1000 cases, but, we still have a long way to god...and they are expecting rain with 40 mph winds and ice here tomorrow. I've been lifting and hauling cases of fruit all day and just quit for tonite and will be up at 6 AM to begin another 14 hrs of the same thing for the next 2 days. My question is...
Why is GOD pissed at me?
