Digital prints from digital cameras online?
Does anyone have any dealings with online companies that make digital prints from a digital camera? I tried WalMart.com online and ordered a few prints, but they end up resizing my photo to fit a 4x6 print. Are there any photo printing outfits that will make digital prints and not crop them or cut them to fit a standard 4x6 or 5x7 layout?
Thanks

Shutterfly. You can crop 'em or they just print 'em (like film). For cropping, resizing, etc. to send off to them, try Picassa by google. Both are so simple my mother can do it

Get yourself a good printer and do them yourself.
I use an Epson Stylus Photo R200. I print most all my own pictures with it all the way up to full sheet. My pictures look great like they came from a shop.
But you do have to make sure you use high quality high gloss photo paper.
After buying the quality paper and with the amount if ink it uses I won't say I save any money, but the quality is there and I don't have to drive to a photo shop to pick up my prints.
Also there are other printer that suposedly do better than mine, and I'm sure that is true. Cost on them will go up as you go to higher quality.
If you go this route just try to make sure you go with a 5+1 color system (5 colors + 1 black). This will give you better results in shade ranges and also help with the amount of ink you use to print pictures. Also another plus is you can change each color individualy.0 -
I've had very good luck with kodakgallery.com, I've ordered probably 200 pics from them and they ranged from wallet size up to 8x10's. All were perfect. Pretty cheap too. It is a free website, just have to sign up, download your pics and order them. 0 -
Shutterfly, I've used them and they do good work. They printed this photo and it came out exactly as I sent it.

My wife has had good luck with York Photo. Sorry, don't have a link. 0 -

I have an HP 3220 printer/scanner/fax. Uses the 5 cartridge system and the pix come out nicely.
For prints that I want to be sure are perfect, I use kodakgallery.com as Goldeneagle suggests, and am very happy with them.
