I've got a cold, again. F'n daycare. I just got over one 3 weeks ago.
What is your favorite cold remedy? Since I am 245lbs, I double the dose on OTC drugs. Currently I am on Contac - seems to be worthless!

Take the medicine and the cold is gone in a week. Do nothing and it takes 7 days. It is a virus so the best you can do is treat the symptoms. Not much seems to help me. 0 -

my wifes a teacher and swear by that airborne stuff, uses it like bug spray.

All of a sudden I don't feel alone with a healthy shot of Jack D[:D][;)] But I use the airborne to along with Zicam during the day.0 -
my grandpas favorite cure was as follows:
1 drink large glass schnopps
2 work up a good sweat over a warm corpse
(hope i dont gotta 'splain that one to anyone!)
3 pass out and feel fine in the morning!

Work in a hospital like me. Im exposed to so many antigens, Im immune to almost all of our local stuff going around. The stomach flu always takes me out about once a year though.............. 0 -
A lot of colds start in the ear or throat. IF you don't have an ear infection, a 50/50 mix of warm water and hydrogen peroxide to gargle, and one drop in each ear. It also loosens ear wax. Can't hurt, though it feels odd. Drink lots of water. It might be hard but work up a good sweat, and it should be knocked out pretty fast. 0 -

I get a can of Cambells old fashion rice and tomato soup and after I heat it up I scoop in about 4 spoonfulls of sliced jalopeno peppers from a jar.
A sliced habenero on top and I am set to be cured.
In fact I made my cold&flu medicine so hot last time, I can't think of the last time I got sick.

advil and rest during the day...nyquil at night. still lasts just as long as if you take no medecine though. 0
