Legal age to marry in Arkansas

18 right, nope you can get married at any age there. They are as progressive as California

(AP) LITTLE ROCK, Ark Thanks to one little misplaced word, it appears that people of any age can legally be married in Arkansas, with parental consent.

Lawmakers say a law passed this year would even allow infants to be married if their parents agree. And that may force the governor to call a special session to fix the mistake.

The bill's sponsor says the legislation was intended to establish 18 as the minimum age to marry -- but also let pregnant teenagers marry with parental consent.

An extraneous "not" in the bill, however, allows anyone who is not pregnant to marry at any age if the parents allow it.

    Allegations are enough these days anyway. If Gonzalez did something wrong w/the Federal Attorney firings, it's certainly viable that Clinton is a child molestor.

    Except I don't have a well-documented history of cheating on my wife with "women" less than half my age (or any other age, for that matter).

    Can you say the same for Clinton?

    Bill Clinton had a sexual harrasment lawsuit filed against him. Experts will tell you that he is a "sexual predator" due to his willingness to break the law to pursue sex and also his serial infidelities. It stands to reason a person like that who doesnt have boundaries would have sexual contact with someone under 18 or under 16 depending on state law.
    The "admitted pedophile" guy in California, Jack Mclellan, is 45 years old and have NEVER once been even accused of touching a child. However, Bill Clinton had lawsuits and sexual claims against him starting in his late 20's.

    I think the parental consent is the key here.
    When I was a teenager a guy I knew married a 13 year old when he was 15.
    He had three kids by the time he was 21.

    The topic title is misleading;

    there are different answers for a Arkansas man that is marrying one (or more) of his sisters, cousins, aunts, or complete strangers.
