Anybody in Texas Know Wm. (Bill) Hays? San Antone?
I've been on the phone today a lot and took some time out to pick some figs, blue berries and tomatos out back and Bill Hays called me. Missed the call but called him back (was on 'missed number' on my cell).
It seems that Bill's condo floated away last week, in San Antonio, TX.
I don't know Bill, but he said he just called random numbers in the San Diego area and asked me if I could help him out. He was 'Class of '65' at a local HS - retired now - no home, etc.
Sure I said - no problem.
The property management company there wouldn't give Bill the owner's phone number but that the building was owned by The National Farm Worker's Service Center, here in San Diego.
I spent about a half hour talking to a couple of major banks in San Francisco and Los Angeles - after exhausting the ole tried and true 411 & Google remedy - and found that the National Farm Worker's Service Center is just a front - no address and no phone number.
Still have Bill's cell number - told him I'd ask around for any ideas I could come up with.
... any ideas?

if he has any gun interest, ask the national gun range NSSA, in san ant west side beyond 410 loop. maybe nssa can direct him. they are BIG focal point in san ant.
and tell him to build on higher ground next time. san ant has massive flash floods all the time.0 -
Yeah - he mentioned that - after I mentioned 'high ground' - he said he was on flat ground
in a vast flood plain. He sounds like a nice feller.
