That's a clean machine. I've always loved the model 60.

I've had one for years. Has the same trait as yours, keep it clean no problems, leave it get too dirty, feed problems. Haven't fired it for a long time, #2 son has it, likes it.

Friend of mine had just gotten out of the Air Force and brought a Marlin back with him that he'd been playing with .

" Here . Take this next time you go rabbit hunting ". He said to me .

So I did . Up popped a rabbit so I popped him .

    18 times !!!

He had been doing some filing and it was now a full auto . Only one other time I left meat in the field . Turned and shot from the hip with a 12 ga SKB SxS at about 8'. Nothing left .

Kurt had a good laugh knowing what I was about to find out about his little project gun . Didn't care that I could have gone to prison . Just thought it would be funny . It would also cut small saplings down in one burst .

Looks like a good deal you got there Zulu .

Didn't come with the scope. It's an el-cheapo Bushnell 3-9x.

...great guns for the money. Probably had a gazillion rounds thru it if it was feeding bad...notorious for working fine w/little cleaning...if you use a decent and not 'el cheapo ammo...sounds like a winning deal to me...[;)]

...at least you dont have to put $5-$600 bucks into it to have decent .22...like the pos 10/22!...and I AM a Ruger fan, just not a fan of that pc. of crap...unless it's one of the OLD 10/22's...[;)]

Mine is 30+ years old and I love it. All I have is a no name brand under $10 scope on it and it is still very accurate. I like your stock, you got a good deal.

    Had one like that.
    Loaned it to my nephew.
20 years later got it back.
The moron cut the stock down to a pistol grip.
Still had the rearend of the stock, used Liquidnails to glue the stock back together.
Never loan a gun out, even if they are kinfolks, they are the worse.
Now I dont loan nothing out period, unless I go with it.

Very nice. I have a Stainless/Walnut Mod 60. One of the more fun guns to shoot. You'll love it.

That's better looking then you let on to, hell of a deal for $60.

He's just copying his older brother, I had one first.

Mine's a new model with the bolt hold-open feature, 22 inch barrel and a 15 shot mag tube. The scope is a cheap 3-7x20 Tasco, and she'll hit what you're aiming at.

Marlin makes the best semi and bolt .22 rifles for the $ IMHO.

I think the 336 series is great too

I bought the exact same gun a couple of weeks ago at the local gun show...neat little gun with the squirrel an all...I paid 90 bucks for mine though so you got a great deal!

I've had a slight feeding problem like the one you mentioned...I'll have to tear it down this weekend and see if a good cleaning will remedy that.
