    That cop was on the ball, thank god. Never thought of checking for bombs, course I don't work in CA or drive a marked unit home.

    I hate motor pool paperwork as much as the next guy, and PMCS, but

    By the wording of the article the bomb seemed to be the type you light like a firework so maybe he saw the power burns from the fuze, either way. I bet it was just some minor fireworks, placed there by a neighbor or other jealous officer, who thinks officers should not be allowed to take patrol cars home.
