Cleaning out my cellar for days
Cant really figure how in a short 54 years since I built my house how in hell I accumulated so much stuff. Started off with 6 CMP M-1 boxes which I sealed in plastic bags and put in the garage rafters. Then (so far ) 4 40 galon garbage cans of old targets, shell boxes, empty powder cans, old computer parts, empty shotgun shells, cans and jars that held cartridges in steps of reloading. Now comes the task of the empty rifle and pistol brass to get rid of as my reloading days are few.
Same with gun parts, cleaning equiptment, holsters, and the likes. Just
got to cut back like it or not. But what a chore with well over 50 years of accumulation. Then into the machine shop area to clean out.
I'm getting tired just thinking about it. Then into the root cellar where I have all my wire and electical supplies stored along with plumbing supplies. How did I accumulate so damn much stuf, so quickly??

Years ago, I used to be a "packrat", and kept everything I thought I might possibly need in the next 1000 years.
One day, I changed, and threw away, gave away, and sold more stuff than you could imagine.
Now, I only keep around what I use, or may have a need for, in the near future!
Take it a little at a time.
Been there![:D][;)]0 -
I always throw things away two weeks before I need them!

It took me two years to clean out my garage.

I use to keep lots of stuff too. But then I had to help clean out my parents house that they had lived in for 60 years. I went home and started throwing it away. Wonder the garbage company did'nt charge me extra. I've really not missed anything....YET....... 0 -

Man! Now THAT would be an interesting clean out!
Helped my ex-wife clean out her dad's garage - packed
completely - he and his new bride moved into that house
in 1940! Died last year at 97. It took three weeks and a
lot of the stuff went right up on e-bay - it was amaqzing!
