1903 Springfiled?

I posted this in the experts forum also...Was the springfield 03 parkerized during manufacture or was it done at one of the rebuild arsenals after the war??

  That is probably a rebuild. The origonals in WW1 were blued.

  They were Parkerized when rearsenaled in the 40's.
  
  I researched it and was blown away to find, "The earliest work
  on phosphating processes was developed by British inventors
  William Alexander Ross, British patent 3119, in 1869, and by
  Thomas Watts Coslett, British patent 8667, in 1906."
  
  Didn't know that it had been around that early.
