Zip, don't you just love KFI. Great shows from the time Handle gets you up at 5am till Ziggler puts you to bed at 10pm.

quote:In most parts of the country, now, kids are NOT ALLOWED TO
PROTECT THEMSELVES FROM BULLIES. Raise a fist, strike a blow
in their defence and they'll get (no tolerance policy) the SAME
punishment (or worse) than the bully.

My nephew Chris had a kid try to bully him, so he told the kid to stop, didn't work. So he went to a teacher for help, didn't work. Then he went to school security for help, didn't work. The bullying had gone on with no help from anybody for over a month. The kid then attacked my nephew so Chris put a elbow into the kids nose, breaking it (just like I taught him). Chris was then EXPELLED from school for not handling the situation properly!!! The bully never had any punishment, well besides a broken nose that is. Gosh I sure love living in CA[}:)]

Sometimes you have to do whats right! You know the difference and screw the rules, again it follows the natural law of "common sense" which is had to find in any of our schools or government these days.

I love the gals but rules based on emotion are not rules to live by, in my humble opinion.

MK: I had a similar situation with a girlfriends son at his school. I told him that defending ones self is a GOD given human right. The boy finanly had to defend himself and did pretty good considering the age difference. He even got a good looking scar out of the deal. I told him that it added character.

That scar has the worth of 60 years of war stories. My kids always ask me to tell stories about my scars, I try not to embelish too much[:p]

Wimpy boys grow up to be wimpy men... like Dr. Laura's husband who went along with her demand that their son be given HER last name instead of HIS.

Yep - KFI is a pretty big part of my radio life - just about the only
thing I listen to in the early am and last thing at the late pm.

I carry the 'missing' ring finger knuckle because I stopped 'Izzah
The White Killer' from driving a date palm spike into my leg.

Best broken bone I've ever had - worst (I imagine) broken jaw
(3 places) he ever had! Had he ever gotten up - no doubt in
my mind, even today) he'd have killed me. There wasn't anyone
big enough to have stopped him. I had once seen him pound
another bigger guy with a rock to the head.

I was suspended a week - 1957 - when they still could do things
like that. I'm sure it would be expulsion/anger management classes/
civil work hours for my savation & retrubution, etc., etc., etc. - and
loads of other BS that I can't even imagine today! 'Killer' was moved
to another school - or promoted to HS since he was about 16 anyway
    - one of those 20 year old drop outs ... eventually.

Don't know about that - that's a husband and wife thing.

... certainly ain't none of my business.

Her 'wimpy son' must have turned out OK - volunteered for
    Iraq. He's a 'wimpy paratrooper.'[V]
