Don't really want to join this club, and I'm normally sorry to see a marriage fall apart, but if it makes you happy, well, congratulations.

It's always sad to hear about a failed marriage. But at least the legal part of it's over.

It would be sad if it was anything worthy. in this case the whole thing was a huge mistake on my part, so it was just a correction. I wouldn't call it a marriage at all.

Once upon a time, divorce was a solemn occasion. It is the death of a love...not a reason to celebrate.

In today's society its party time! Never mind the poor children.

I think 'love dies' long before divorce.

I also think that if the government minded its own business and didn't make divorce as hard, lengthy and costly as it is now, there would be no need to celebrate. Besides the fact that it's quite a dumb thing to suggest that someone's celebrating the fact of two people breaking it off rather than the end of fighting the tape in a break up. Go figure, some people...

Well I see sort of what your saying Russian. But, a marriage is a life long commitment by it's very deffinition. And I'm not judging anyone who is divorced. But one pressumes that the two people who go into a marriage have all intensions of it lasting a life time, therefore it is also pressumed that such a failure would have certain negetive emotional repercussions. To me it only seems natural that the voiding of a "till death due us part" type of contract would be at least some what complicated.

By your church. Which in turn is so entrench in the government that it's taken as a norm.

    TSR,
My post was just a "commentary" on divorce in general...not really directed to you. I'm glad that you're happy. Good luck finding Ms. Right next time around.

    sav99,
    Very well stated.
