Ours OR Reverse Engineering Alien Technology?
I've often wondered about this. We, who have an 'edge' of seeing up close, and fairly personal, a what may have been some of that 'other worldly technology,' probably see this question in a rather different perspective, than those who have never had the 'enlightenment experience.' [8D]
Last week I listened to a 1998 replay of an Art Bell show when he had on the late Col. Corso, author of the book: The Day After Roswell. Anyway, what was interesting is, if you believe that aliens crashed at Roswell, as well as have crashed in other parts of the world, and continue to do so, some issues are raised.
One in particular which was discussed on the show is this idea that, alien technology is responsible, for the most part, in regards to most of the technological advances we have seen over the past 60 years. From the silicon chip, to night vision, to fibre optics, plasma, and so forth.
Col. Corso was very candid about pointing out that the US military gave the reversed engineered technology to industry to freely patent it, whereby industry was unclear on where it came from, other than from the government.
If it is taken to be true that aliens do exist, and we have in our possession some of their space craft to study, how much of the technological leaps we have seen do you think are directly linked to alien technology?
Other than complaining that I am a nut - an opinion all who know me has anyway - does anyone have their own opinion on the subject?

I think that anal probe you have may need some tweaking... 0 -
Other then the obvious advances in gardening, sheet rock and catering truck technology I don't see the aliens producing anything else we might need. 0 -

This is very true. Catering trucks especially.0 -
nice pic of Al Gore with Hitler....
zip, I have thought about a thing or two on this subject and there are somethings that seem kind hinkey.
The Space Race and satellite technology...it wasn't until way after the famous crash that mankind actually started to devise ways to get into space. 20 years of study and reverse engineering may well have played a part in getting our men through the threshhold. Satellite technology didn't slowly develope as one would think either. After Sputnik and its little radio transmitter broke the ionosphere, the technology just seemed to jump from a starting block to beaming telecommunications in a very very very short amount of time. I conceed that we have some incredibly intellegent people on this planet, but if things were to develope at the pace they had been I think we'd still be a society modeled around the 50 era now, but things went screaming passed that. I just think that as a people, we wouldn't have developed so much so quickly IF there wasn't something gleened from a crashed alien technology.
Put it to a timeline....
how quickly after this event did things develope and become introduced?
the microwave oven?
electron microscopes?
telecommunications?
computers...satellites...carbon 14 dating...warfare technology...cell phones..the internet...beta tapes to vcr to compact disks to dvds and blue ray...lasers....
how many of these things were used by the government before they were introduced to the public and for how long???
I'm not a conspiracy theorist by any means, but things just don't add up. As a race, how long did it take us to get to the Industrial Revolution with the steam locomotive and the cotton gin? If you buy into the theory (not law) of evolution how long did it take man to start developing agriculturally and progress to mining metals to building boats??? According to some people thousands of years. So what changed in just a few decades that jump started all the ensuing technology?
I dunno, I may be rambling and my musings may be jumping all over the place. So much is jumbled up in my head....I'm hungry and I need to pee.0 -
Is that Thor from SG-1 with Hitler?
The only thing Thor would do with old shicklegruber is beam him to a distant planet [:D]0 -
Velcro and the stealth bomber, beyond that there isn't alien technology worth a crap. 0 -
In the name of reverse engineering of alien technology, why are we still using the +20 year old space shuttle????? 0 -
Quite simply: none. Hard work, and an emphasis on science and math education created an environment conducive to technological advances. 0 -
aramisvi: I've heard that statement before - and it doesn't add up.
My father had top secret/eyes only security clearance from about
1950 on - worked for NASA and he hinted that there were some
technological advances that just 'didn't add up.'
Almost always there is parallel work being performed on some of
the high tech projects. At that particular time there were some
major breakthroughs that had no other scientific basis/investigations
anywhere in the world.
Interesting.
[:D]0 -
I don't see any invention in the last sixty years that is such a technical leap forward that mankind on his own, could not have developed without other worldly technology. And for the record Zip, I don't think you're a nut. [;)] 0 -

That would explain why NASA is such a joke now.0 -
I can't speak about the possibility of reverse engineering because I don't know!
But here is some food for thought about inteligent life!
Just given what we know about our solar system, and knowing that there are millions (if not billions) of others out there!
If you do mathmatics on it and figureing there are probly billions of other planets out there!
It would be very very very likely that there would be another planet some place that would also have inteligent life on it!
Now how evolved that life may be is another question.
But as for me, I feel that there would be other life forms out there somewhere!0 -
...Contact and technology sharing? Probably. Crashes? I doubt it. Hard to believe that they could bend the time-space continuum to travel the vastness of space, only to get here and have engine trouble. Maybe there were space bugs on the windshield and they ran out of washer fluid. "Can you see anything, Org? Damn! It's a planet!" (thud) 0 -

That was exactly what I think of when they bring this subject up.
In other words we are back engineering a faulty technology and have a crash prone space craft to look forward to in the future when we finally back engineer enough technology from crashed spacesaucers that we will crash into a distant plant only to perpetuate the back engineered crashing space saucers.0 -

The U-2 spyplane rides at the edge of space.....Think they made that thing in 1950 didn't they?
http://scaled.com/projects/tierone/
Funny how it still is a safer, cheaper, way to get to Space..even tho it's technology is 1950's.
The other 'wordly' technology all came from captured Nazi scientists and one crazy forgotten American named Nikoli Tesla.0 -

Reverse engineering seems logical -- presuming that there was a starting point. I was born & grew up in Roswell, NM. I was too young to remember much about the actual event. However, my parents and persons in their generation evaluated the situation as it happened. My parents never believed that a space craft crashed. Others did believe it. I did not see the wreckage nor any artifacts. However, I have personally talked to persons who viewed the wreckage. They did not believe that it was a weather balloon. Based upon the first hand accounts from persons whom I had some faith in their opinion, I do not believe that it was a weather balloon. Beyond that, I cannot say what it was or was not. 0 -
If you havent seen this before, check it out.Its pretty long but very interesting.Decide for yourself.http://www.netro.ca/disclosure/npccmenu.htm 0 -

Naval Nuclear Power
My opinion is the nuclear navy was Alien Spawn. Just look closely at Adm. Hyman (what the hell kind of name is Hyman) Rickover. If ever there was an alien in a human suit it's that guy. While we're on the topic, how do you explain a complete moron like Jimmy Carter being allowed near a reactor. If we can move a 100,000 ton ship, how come we can't move my 2900 pound car with atom power. There's something wrong with this picture.
Then there's the Slinky. Where did that come from?
And then there's this guy. Tom Cruise, cruise as in StarCruiser. Check out this telling picture...notice anything?
[img][/img]
You see it? That's right! A Vulcan "I mutilate cows" secret hand signal and I believe that is the tip of the zipper of his human suit just under his hairline. Look closely. Nothing, but nothing can explain T.C. except alien intervention.
I'll repost back with more findings later.0 -
You are a nut.
Had to say it.
I have had a couple of "UFO" experiences, so I do believe we have been visited.
I think that there is a 50/50 chance that the Tunguska event was an exploding spacecraft.
On the other hand, I'm pretty skeptical about Roswell and reverse engineered alien technology.
Unless one is convinced that there has been alien technical intervention in the progress of the human race for centuries (or even millennia ), then it is far more reasonable to conclude that our progress as a race has been of our own making.
Our rate of technical progress has been exponential for nearly our entire existence, except for a few notable exceptions - the Dark Ages particularly.
It did not start on that fateful day in July in 1947.
Gigantic conspiracies - as it would have to be to keep a secret of this magnitude - just don't exist. People have to shoot their respective mouths off.
Soooo...alien visits - yes. Alien technology - I doubt it.
But then, there is the evidence of the crop circles.

I have seen a coupple of unidentified flying objects. My mother to and her brother, sister and husband.
Once i got something wrong with my boatengine when i were round 12 so my mother and her brother towed my boat...
Yeah i were only 12 so whn they started to wave their hand a lot to me back there being towed i just waved my hand back like _yeye al is okey no problems. But when we reached the shore they told me that this big UFO had come flying and stopped maybe 2000 meters behing us...
I always figured maybe those aliens thought it could be interesting to have a closer look at this small seabased vessels moving about.
aaaaaaaa hmm my dashboard just wents nut:::MAYBE SOMEONE DONT WANT ME TO WRITE THIS:::really brd for restart:0 -
Cool !![8D] You ever had that happening to u guys...
?
That someone all of a sudden takes over your...controls attemting to stop you from writing whatever u now is writing ?
Well it happened to me before...But i dont think its those aliens that does that...
It's probably those local guys enjoying themselfe
However it always feels like someone raping my hairy rectum when it happens.[:(!]0 -
Anyway here's a toy am planning to play around with this coming winter.
Aerodynamics is cool http://jnaudin.free.fr/advpmnu.htm0 -
sure, we couldn't have engineered things by ourselves like nuclear power, xray machines, microchips, teflon frying pans, etc.
and some of it we still can't get it right! like that "radiocarbon dating" thing, I mean, sure it works on stuff that's not too old like a peice of wood from a viking ship, but some things it goes haywire and says "millions of years old". can't be right. and we never have been able to get it to work right on rocks.0 -
I'm not pulling your legs...Somebody really did hacked me...
So then i spill my gut and tell u all i know then hehe.
Hmm i might have told zipper one or two of these stories already ?
Anyhow another time my mother were outside the house and then she saw this megahuge zeppeli ?ch thinggy slowly spiraling (bad verb ?) over the mountain Dundret...so she came and told me and i went outside to have a look and yepp i saw it...But after bout 10 minutes maybe i got tired of looking at it (UFO's) can be really boring ya know [;)]
and went inside again.By the way that time in the boat i never saw it.
Then we have this skylab thinggy i saw as a kid from my mothers sister boat...Did'nt think nothing of it...I t must have been skylab i thought. But later on someone told me Skylab would have been impossible to see in the sky sending out reflexes that i thought were the suncellwings.
Then my mothers sister seen a whole lot of UFO zepps hiding in fog or in a a small ravine close to their countryhouse.
They also seen some weird floating stone that disappered when they got closer with their boat...They were thinking along the lines of the Locknessmonster...But mr Talented been thinking that maybe they just saw the tip of the UFO Zepp maybe periscoping the area before possible take of...and we also have all this talk nowadays of using water (hydrogen) as a fuel for all sort of things.
Foo fighters crashing in to this huge lake they seen also (maybe just plain old meteorites...
Well this is all i can remember right now...And i just disconected while writing this and reconnect to post it just incase those hackers been tried to monitor me again.Did that countemeasure thing before also when some creep tried to stop me from some saying my piece in politicaldiscussions before...But i'm kind of fedup with that stuff nowadays [;)]0
