Make sure you use a airsoft in .45 because the 9mm has no stopping power.

220 f/sec is kind of low...

I remember my Glock 18 is about 280-290 f/sec as standard gun and on semiauto, a little lower on full auto though. It's a gas powered gun.

350+ f/sec is not unheard of, but you really don't need it.

Put on a steel "barrel" and slide to stabilize it a bit and then a precision barrel. THEN perhaps a tune-up gas-valve.
Once you tune it - be sure to lube it with silicone spray.

It was fun to see a tricked out airsoft handgun in Denmark - where a friend of mine shot through soda cans at 10-15 feet.
It was powerfull enough to not be allowed at the Airsoft clubs for indoor (close range) use, and it was more powerfull than a standard tuneup for a "shotgun" or "rifle".

It was downright nasty and you'd be covered in small blue marks if he shot at you.

I just went down to the local sporting goods store and got a spring one at 315 fps for 25 bucks. It's clear and 1911 style.

I bought a steyr that shoots 575 fps. It will shoot through vinyl siding. Just ask my wife.[B)][B)]
