Does anyone else miss the "fixed" signatures?

It used to be that the signature one was using when making a post became part of the post and appeared when that post was quoted.

Now the signature does not appear in a quote and if you change your signature today every previous post you made will now show the changes.

I kinda miss the historical aspect of changing signature lines...

    Nah, thought the signatures have spiralled out of control - so I've simply disabled them so I don't see them anymore.
