I hear there's a big ring around here that steal atv's and then bring them to KY to sell.
Atv's, firearms, and electronics are high on a thelve list of things to steal.
Did you have insurance? Was this before you had you barn built?
I hate the people who buy the atv's knowing they are stolen. They think since they will just keep it on they land they don't have anything to worry about.

the hot things to get stolen here in the tampa bay area are cobra mustangs, all they want is the motor, nothing else, i think its was something like 7 got stolen in one month. They use tow trucks where they just pull up back up, and lift them, and leave. Ive heard stories on tamparacing.com where tow trucks were following people who had cobras to where they live, only to return later and try to jackl the car.

In Texas, they are now titled vehicles, presumably to combat the theft problem, but it doesn't help much. Most people don't bother to transfer title when they sell them, since they can't license them anyway. After the first owner, the ATV becomes like a tractor or a shop-built trailer, or a lawn mower. Easily stolen, and easily sold.

Fact is, a large portion of the stolen property in this country is sold to otherwise solid citizens who just won't pass up a bargain. They can then take the ATV to their deer lease and wear it out, and never have to worry about the police coming to check the numbers.

Always record your serial numbers. Always mark your property with your DL number. Take pictures.

Simple/obvious fact is that some people steal whatever they can sell. Obviously the
    penalties aren't severe enough, eh?

.... any suggestions out there - of course, next to ramming the ATV up the guy's nose?
