Freaking shower broke this morning

Now my hot water won't shut off. Told the property management company, hopefully they'll send someone out to day (i.e. right now) to fix it. I'd shut it off before the faucet, but the only shut off for the entire house is the line going into the water heater, which'll cut off the upstair's hot water too. I should be sleeping right now, but it's too hot and humid in here to sleep.
