The Three Buchanan Bears
Folks around here seem to be fascinated by bears. Well, in Buchanan, MI, I
met a guy who likes them, too! He's got three in his 'tree.'
If you live near Buchanan, it's out on Main Street Road, a little north of town.
Seems that a big lightening strike 'took out a big full grown maple tree in his
yard and before the tree removal folks showed up to take care of the remains,
a feller stopped his car and walked up to the owner and proposed a novel idea.
The feller was/is a wood carver. The 'Three Bears' below is the result of about a
week, or so, of his handiwork with a goodly assortment of chain saws. They are
all cut out - all one solid piece - of the remaining vertical log.

Very cool. Audrey collects bears and has a very small chain saw bear.
