I got all the beatles albums on CD. I just do not pull them out very often.

I have a wide choice of music I can listen too as I have about 500 home burned CD's that have about 20 somgs on each CD and about another 150 stors bought CD's.

All these CD's range from classical to some of the hardest grunge rock you have ever heard with about everything in between![:D]

    Yo, you gots Fiddie sent???

I remember when '50s music was considered "oldies".
Now, rock stations call '80s music "classic rock".

    Must be getting old.[:(]

That is a new one on me there!

I know how you feel about the types of music being called oldies and classic rock! It makes me feel real old knowing that the music I grew up with is now classic rock![:(]

    I have allready done that!

On top of all the CD's I have another 12 gigs of music stored on the computer.

I ran audio outs and under the house over to the stereo so I can play it that way![;)]

What is the nursing home going ot be like when when these babyboomers over take it? Loud CCR, Beatles, or maybe they'll go insane and learn to appreciate Frankie and the Beachboys.

After half of that Mason Jar last night.

I found myself listening to Banjo music on XM this morning for some reason..[^]

Know anyone who can put old vinyl records onto CDs? I have a few Beatles albums, SGT Pepper and the Red and Blue with date as part of the album title. I think that it would be neat to listen to CD's that sound like an old record...

The Beatles are like Lynyrd Skynyrd. They have 500 CDs out and they all contain about the same music and songs. Just rearranged. And yet we keep buying them..[:)]

It appears that I have an "old guy's" taste in music, and I find absolutely nothing wrong with that [:D]

I'd love to have had the chance to see Led Zeppelin (or some of my other classic rock faves) live, oh well at least I have the DVDs, not quite the same but the closest my generation can get.

I'm going to put some CCR on now [;)]

I would be easier to download the albums and then burn them to CD.

I get abot 90% of my music by downloading it.

There is also a program you can buy and play your vinyl albums into the the computor input jack to record them and make an mp3 file.

It is funny seeing you kids talking about oldies from my college days or well after. Some of us were around before rock and roll was invented, so rock oldies to us are more like Little Richard, Chuck Barry, Elvis for some, though not my cuppa. Orbison was classic, pretty much one of a kind, so that is hardly "oldies."

Groups like AC/DC and Kiss (especially Kiss) hardly qualify as music, give me Styx or Queen instead.

Awesome, but turn the volume down for that really unsettling noise at the end of "a day in the life"...[8D]
