Finally Got My XD .40,................

Obviously I have the extended mag on in this pic, but it is a really nice fitting gun for my hand.
Some would consider them too "thick" I guess, but for me it is perfect.
Just waiting to shoot it this weekend!

I hope you like it as much as i like my XD45 0 -
nice..[8D].of course we will need a complete range report..from the RRA too..[:D][;)]..I always pick guns that fit me like a glove too or I dont keep them around...just my .02..guess I will see how I like plastic guns fri or sat [glock 31 .357 sig]..might be tradin again sunday [:0]..Loko [:D] 0 -
The Glock didnt fit my hand nearly as well as a 1911 of even the XD45, though it appears similar to the XD, once in the hand that told the story. I tried a few other Glock models and they all felt akward in my hand. I think i'll keep the XD [:D] 0 -
Speaking of the RRA,......I just got a flat-top riser mount, and the Hogue pistol grip set yesterday afternoon, along with a decent assualt case.
I am dying to go shoot it, but it is not the pistol range I belong to, where I must go, and the place is best used in late afternoon on a weekday, as far as safety goes. Been raining here a lot, late in the day![}:)]

Congrats and welcome to the XD40 club. You didn't know there was one, did you?
I just had mine out for a walk on sunday. Put all sorts of 180 grain through it. a box of blazer brass, a box of copper fmj and some cast lead. The thing will eat anything. I love it.
Enjoy!0 -
I have a few boxes of Blazer brass 180 grain FMJ,.........that will be its first "meal"![8D] 0 -

Got his little brother right here. I desperately need the grip extension though. You should enjoy it.0 -
Love my XD 45...I'm sure you'll enjoy your 40!!! My XD is definitely one of my favorites in my collection right now as well as my everyday CCW. I'm jealous of your AR...I'm hoping to start building one in a few months. 0 -
What I like about the XD, and the light/laser combo, is you can take the light off in 2 seconds, and switch to the 9 round mag, and it is ready for carry.
Come back home,.......if you want it for a "nightstand" gun, swap mags to the 12, and pop the light back on.
Goldeneagle76,......no need to be jealous, but thanks for the compliment.
Just enjoy your build, and remember to post some pics when it's done![;)]0 -
sweet, two tone
that is the one i have been eyeing they are hard to find in these parts. im sure there are a few on the auction side but their isn't much money to be save over their.
congrat's and can't wait for the range report.0 -
Odawgp,......nope, it isn't just you.
The Bi-tone subcompact is almost impossible to find right now.
I had 2 different places put them on backorder for me, and called everywhere within 4 counties here, plus went online, and tried all of those sources too.
GunBroker also had none when I checked.
I finally called SA, and they said that they were in a "serious" backorder situation, on that particular model.
They said a small shipment would go out in about a month, but they would be gone instantly.
My FFL got ONE, on allocation, from one of his distributors!!
And you can see who got it![:D][8D]0 -

Have heard a lot of good things about the XD series....0 -
I have the XD 45 and love it......like the others have said its a really nice shooter and will eat any kind of ammo you can buy. 0 -
Got my WD-40.
Like yours better...0 -
Odawgp,.......I was referring to the bi-tone model#XD9822HCSP06. Some of the other subs can be found.
I paid $536.00 OTD, but had to pay tax this time.
The light/laser, I got from another source.
The one you showed I could get for $439.99 plus 20 bucks shipping, but I wanted black and stainless!0 -

That is a good price,.......wasn't there the other day.
If you want one, I would do the BIN, as even the plain white light, is about $75.00!0 -
