i'm looking at a motorola hs 820, i need something that can handle road noise with the windows down for a motorola razr

    I have a motorola 500 and it works just fine. No noticeable problem with road noise with window down.

    My only complaint is I didnt get one with a rechargable battery, It takes 1 aaa battery and lasts two or three days. (Its a Motorola something, about $60) If background noise is a main concern look for a Jawbone I have heard they are top notch but may be hard to find.

    I've got bluetooth but I've not used it on my cellphone yet. However, linking it up my Palm and my Laptop via BlueTooth has been a gargantuan PITA.

    WiFi is easier and faster... and I'm running BlueTooth 2.0

    I tried all the Motorola bluetooth devices that I could, and hated all of them. My hearing is not the best in the world, and I couldn't hear a darn thing through them. Then, I found a Jabra model BT250v. Love it! Has an ear "gel" piece that actually fits into the ear and doesn't just lay on the outside of the ear like the motorola products I tried in the past. It has a vibrate feature where if the phone ring is turned off, the actually ear piece will vibrate. Kind of disconcerting the first couple of times it "rings" like that, but now I love it! I can get a call and no one knows about it. I would recommend one in a heart beat. Here are a couple of reviews:

    EDIT: Linking it to my Motorola Razr phone was a piece of cake, also hooked up very quickly to my son's Nokia. Top rate!

    I got the newest technology--a "dental" implant phone that allows me to hear by soundwaves transmitted through my jawbone to my ear. To use, I simply touch my tongue to the tooth and say what I want--or who I want to call. No wiring. No visible handset or headset. All super-micro technology. The company markets these almost exclusively in the 'hood--it's called a "GOLDtooth" and it's made by MOLAR-ota. Gotta get one, bruh!

    I finally just acquiesced to using cell phones a year, or so, ago.

    ... I'll resist until the technology moves on, and come onboard

    "Bluetooth" is just the protocol or the "language" that the device is using to connect to another device.

    Any headset that is Bluetooth-compatible, should fit your phone.

    That's true but (mass) meanings tend to change with popularity of use.

    Bluetooth to about 99.9% of the population now seems to mean the
    ear phone device that makes one look like a total geek![:o)]
