Mexico Really Getting PO'd With Us!
Dubya is gonna give Mexico the amnesty they want despite the fact that the American people are vehemently opposed to it. I wonder what else he's willing to do to make Mexico happy.
Ho-hum. The country that can't control it's drug cartels, has the most corrupt government in the world, and has some of the toughest gun laws in the world is griping that with over a thousand drug lords and their minions shot dead this year, it's all our fault:
Mexico's government, which complains violent drug cartels are battling each other with firearms bought in the United States, slammed slack U.S. gun laws as absurd on Thursday.
Mexico complains most of the often high-powered weapons used by warring Mexican traffickers come from gun shops in the United States and Mexican Attorney General Eduardo Medina Mora said there was not enough control over their sale.
"I think the American (gun) laws are absurd because they .make it very easy for citizens to acquire guns," he told a meeting of academics and businessmen.
Mexico is locked in a bloody battle with rival cartels fighting over territory and President Felipe Calderon has deployed thousands of troops across the country against traffickers who are often better armed than police.
More than 1,000 people have been killed in drug violence in Mexico this year as a three-way war between cartels and the Mexican military spirals to unprecedented levels.
Well, I think we need to build a huge fence between our countries. Oh wait! Wasn't it just a year or so ago that a bill was passed to do just that but only two miles of it were ever built?
And now, since nothing has been done since the 1986 "Amnesty bill" which was supposed to fix everything, we find the same empty promises by Bush, Kennedy, Graham, et al as they try to revive the current amnesty bill.
And - if some of the new amendments by Democrats get included, such as making the bill more "family friendly" by allowing spouses and children to join their decriminalized brethren here in the U.S., we're now talking.......................

The Mexican government is just like the illegals they are takers, they don't give an inch, Americans can't own coastal real estate, business property, won't let us develop their oil assets, why should we give a fiddlers F for 12 or 14 million Mexicans, did you see the Mexican government helping during Katrina, Canada immediately with out any fanfare sent two hospital ships to the Gulf coast.
Were not Mexico's big brother we don't owe them one dime of sympathy. Let the Holy Roman father in Rome be their big brother.0 -

LOL ... in 1938 Mexico nationalized all foreign oil companies in Mexico.
... and yes, they did send a convoy of relief trucks to Katrina.
