I saw "Casino Royale" this weekend.

Without a doubt the WORST bond movie I have ever seen and the WORST James Bond. I just kept wishing it would end. Horrible, horrible movie. If you haven't seen it, don't waste your time.

    The origional "Casino Royal" with Peter Sellers as James Bond was better.

    I think the story sucked.. Connery couldn't even have done it better.


    The last few Bond movies have lacked in that department.

    The first ones had believable effects that one could relate to and they actually used the special effects installed in the car by Q.

    Now they slap the cars headlights and states "Stinger missiles behind headlights" and you sit there in anticipation of Bond shooting down a helicopter or plane with it - or they replace the car with some computergraphics only to state it's now completely invisible.


    On that basis - the first Bondmovies were much better and much more entertaining.


    Kind of liked the meanness that the villain had though - gave Bond much more resistance than other movies.

    Sorry!!! slipgate, But then I thought you were smarter then that. I only sat throigh 10 minutes. If you don't like it turn the chanel.

    It was certainly different from the previous Bonds, but it is supposed to be him when he has just become a 007, he isn't polished yet. Yes it's very different from the Bonds you grew up with, but for me I grew up on the newer Bonds with Pierce Brosnan, although I have seen most of the older ones. I thought it was good, I was entertained and would recommend it to most people who enjoy action movies.

    I liked it as well. I thought it was grittier than most other Bond movies.
