Lucked out this time
The auction for a highly desireable, almost collectible, gun that I would really like to have is ending at time that I won't be able to get at a computer. I've been the high bidder for days at about 65% of what I expect it to bring and I couldn't really afford to spend more.
I'm so glad that I won't be here to get hit with auction fever as the end approaches.

WiPaLa's rifle is nice enough and I would like to to have it but it's not the one I was referring to in this thread.0 -
Why would someone bid $0.11 below the buy it now price?[:0] 0 -

Oops, the event I that was going to keep me away from the computer this evening got cancelled due to the weather. I may be buying a new gun after all.

On auctions that have a reserve and a buy now price - the buy now is disabled after the reserve is met.
The winning (automatic) bid was 11 cents under because my last bid was $5.11 cents under the Buy Now.0 -
A friend of mine is listing a real nice little .357 mag pump gun in about 5 more days. 0 -

That's exactly the type of gun I'm looking for. There's going to be a run on straight-wall cartridge rifles in Indiana when the law changes allowing them for deer hunting.0 -

Henry: Its a Action Arms Ltd. 357 mag pump. Made in Phil. Pa. Strait stock, scoped with a 4x32 Ultra Vision, 18" heavey barrel, tube mag. Looks like a copy of an 870 design. Even loads from the bottom like one. 95%ish condition. Let me know and I'll shoot ya an e mail when he puts it on the auction block. Bankroll is the seller name, A+ rating.0 -
