freakonomics
Has anyone read it? here's a link to an online copy (not sure how ethical it is, since the book is up for sale, but if you have no problem with it, then here it is):
freakonomics
I am not saying everything is true in it and everything makes sense, but it definitely shows that there's a lot more to a picture than one paints it. If you have an ability to think for yourself, you could learn a lot from it and the methods of research (and therefore making up your mind on issues) it describes.

Good read, and a good approach to looking at emotional issues

Yup, ditto. It's a little off on something but I guess he might be doing it on purpose to make people think for themselves and not take everything said or written as an absolute truth. 0 -
Noting the obvious with a splash of philosophy thrown in. Fairly interesting though. 0 -

Yup, it is just common sense, which it looks like about 99% of people are missing, so it's not so obvious now, is it? [:)]

To the masses objectivity and sober reasoning, let alone introspection is seldom obvious.0
