Liberals! I hate em'!
My young co-worker comes from apparently an East Coast liberal family background. He was an air traffic controller in the Air Force and so had at least some experience with firearms. In addition, he and his girl friend have chosen to opt for "diversity" and chose to rent in a "diverse" part of K.C. During that time they have been burgarlized once, had their expensive car stereo stolen out of their car, and been mildly threatened from time to time by their "diverse" neighbors. So all in all, he and his girl friend at least have a grudging acceptence of the concept that peaceful, lawful citizens should have the right to own firearms. But it doesn't end there.
The other day he and I were discussing firearm ownership and he said "In a perfect world there would be no firearms." He went on to say that since a perfect world is not possible, therefore he supports the Second Amendment. I didn't think too much about that statement until today. I wish I had asked "In a perfect world, what is wrong with wishing for no criminal violence but still for people like me to have my guns for the sake of target practice, collecting, etc." Because without my gun hobby, that "perfect world" would not be so perfect.
Such is the thinking of liberals. They just plain hate guns. Even in a perfect world wherre there was no criminal violence or accidental shootings, etc. They just don't like guns.

Now that I work mainly in corporate security, you wouldn't believe the gear these corp. espionage types use. Temp. controlled level IV suits to beat the heat sensors, PVS14 goggles, MP5K-N PDWs with KAC cans, I could go on and on about those guys. 0 -
Even worse is us liberals that are better armed than you, and are none too fond of you either.[}:)] 0 -
They do have the right to NOT own one. Why can they not respect others right to own them?
THAT is the age-old question.0 -

Hey now! Don't bash the Liberals to hard. If it wasn't for them, then we wouldn't have that many people to make fun of/at! Besides, there are a few(I mean 1 or 3[:D]) out there that aren't all that bad. Heck my Sheriff is one, but like He dog said, he is one that is(personally) better armed than even the craziest of gun collectors. 0 -

Please expand upon this; What makes your positions "liberal?" How do you define your liberalism?0 -
Well let's see, I support gay marriage, cross dressing politicians, higher taxes, more welfare, abortion, abolishing religion, welcoming illegal aliens, and poking fun at conservatives.
I also lie.
but I do like guns, and that is no lie. I am a fiscal conservative.0 -
In a perfect world I would own twenty beagles and have the time, energy and stamina to go rabbit hunting every day. Rabbit hunting doesn't require a gun, but it's a lot more fun (perfect) with one. 0 -
He Dog, I thought liking guns disqualified you as a liberal. There might be somebody coming around to pick up your card this afternoon. [:D] 0 -
[:(]OK, but he better be well armed![}:)][:p]
James, my dad raised beagles when I was a kid and we field trialed for several years, until his hearing got bad and he could not hear the dogs any more. Spent many a day following dogs, hunting rabbits, getting dumped off horses into blackberry briars. Was going though a bunch of stuff last week clearing out Mom's house since she moved to a retirment community. I found a pin from his old Beagle Club, the Hawkeye Beagle Club. It just about undid me. Enjoy those beagles all you can, wish I was there to go out with you.0 -
Sorry for the hijack, but at least I was liberal in my theft![:p] 0 -
Well, for anyone who claims to like or be a liberal, they better get used to the idea that sooner or later their liberal buddies will be coming around to collect all their firearms. Sure, there are some liberal gun right supporters. But generally liberals, when forced to take a side, will side with no guns for civilians. Guns for the police and criminals (by default) but no guns for lawful, peaceful civilians.
I am not talking about moderates who might be liberal on a few subjects. Heck, I might be that way myself. I mean people who are 95% or so to the left.
You can quibble with this all you want, but deep down you know I am right.0 -
In a perfect world...
There would be no liberals.[:D]

In a perfect world, I'd be a much better shot![:0] 0 -
I think the anti gun crowd somehow transfers in their minds the violent acts of people onto the inanimate firearm. Makes no sense to me. It must be easier for them to say that the gun is what is evil instead of the person. 0
