The "Unbiased" Media
On Feb. 17, 1998 United States President Bill Clinton said without hesitation,
"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We
want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass
destruction program."
The media: Bush Lied.
Samir Vincent admitted he received more than 9 million barrels of oil between
1996 and 2003 in exchange for being a servant of Saddam Hussein during the
United Nations Oil-For-Food scandal. One of his 'associates' at the time was
former U.S. President Jimmy Carter.
Melanie Morgan, co-chairman of Move America Forward stated, "President
Carter needs to tell the American people exactly what relationships he had with
the individuals involved in the oil-for-food scandal." And later asked, "Did
President Carter know he was dealing with an agent of Saddam Hussein or was
he just terribly gullible?"
The media: Ashcroft Lied.
"FBI agents seized several computer hard drives, floppy disks and two boxes
of paper documents from Mr. Jefferson's office in the Rayburn House Office
Building," reported the Washington Times about Rep. William J. Jefferson
(D-Louisiana). "The lawmaker was videotaped in July 2005 accepting
$100,000 in $100 bills from an FBI informant, and agents found $90,000
hidden in a freezer the next month in his Northeast Washington home."
authorities have said.
Speaker of the House Grandma Nancy Pelosi then placed Jefferson on the
panel for Homeland Security.
The media: Delay Lied.
In the May 9th 2005 edition of Newsweek they reported that members of our
military personnel at Guantanamo Bay, among other things, had flushed a copy
of the Koran down the toilet.
That false story, "sparked anti-American demonstrations in the Afghan city of
Jalalabad in which four protesters were killed and more than 60 injured. About
a dozen more protesters were killed in the following days when the
demonstrations spread across Afghanistan and to Pakistan and other countries,"
as reported by Newsweek itself.
The media: Rice Lied. and was Bush's parrot.
Late in 2005, a scandal erupted in the media fomented by Democrats that the
administration was putting our ports in the control of `terrorists' when it was
learned that Dubai Ports World would be managing terminals in some U.S.
ports.
Hillary Clinton jumped on the issue early. "Our port security is too important
to place in the hands of foreign governments. I will be working with Senator
Menendez to introduce legislation that will prohibit the sale of ports to foreign
governments."
All the while her husband and his administration had been doing business with
the United Arab Emirates for years and in December of that year went to
Dubai and called them a `role model' for the region. Plus, he had received
millions of dollars from them.
The media: Rumsfeld Lied.
Even worse was the unfortunate reality that beloved liberal Democrat leader
Al Gore, who speaks for Democrats everywhere and claimed to speak for
`most Americans`, went to Saudi Arabia and attacked America by saying that
we, "indiscriminately rounded up [Arabs], often on minor charges of
overstaying a visa or not having a green card in proper order, and held in
conditions that were just unforgivable."
Add to that, the `global-warming prophet' Mr. Gore testified before a Senate
panel that the debate was over because there was a 'consensus' within the
scientific community that global warming was 'man-made'. Yet in February,
the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change stated that it was only `very
likely' to be caused by man and there are thousands of scientists currently
disputing the theory of man-made global warming.
The media: Rove Lied.
Joe Wilson has repeatedly gotten caught in several instances of `misinformation'
about his role in the Plame Name Game and got caught outright by the Senate
Intelligence Committee where they reprimanded him and wrote in their report,
"On at least two occasions [Wilson] admitted that he had no direct knowledge
to support some of his claims.... For example, when asked how he "knew" that
the Intelligence Community had rejected the possibility of a Niger-Iraq uranium
deal, as he wrote in his book, [Wilson] told Committee staff that his assertion
may have involved "a little literary flair."
They also added in the `additional views' section, ""The former ambassador,
either by design or through ignorance, gave the American people and, for that
matter, the world a version of events that was inaccurate, unsubstantiated, and
misleading."
The media: Libby Lied. And Cheney should be drawn and quartered for it.
The Bush Administration fired 8 U.S. Attorneys and the action has been
deemed a `political' maneuver that even Hillary Clinton spoke out against
saying it was a, "direct interference with the way U.S. attorneys are
supposed to operate - to be impartial. There's evidence of political
interference and political pressure being put on them to engage in partisan
political activities."
When confronted with the fact that her husband actually fired all 93 U.S.
attorneys when he took office, while one of the attorneys was about to indict
someone very close to Clinton, she responded, "When a new president comes
in, a new president gets to clean house. It's not done on a case-by-case basis
where you didn't do what some senator or member of Congress told you to
do in terms of investigations into your opponents. It is 'Let's start afresh' and
every president has done that."
Which means political motivations used to fire U.S. Attorneys are okay as long
as it's a Democrat doing it.
The media: Gonzales Lied.
A recent Associated Press `news report' covering Senator John McCain's
press conference, where he stated he was impressed with the progress in
Baghdad, was filled with attacks such as, "Members of the delegation spoke
at a Green Zone news conference after they rode from Baghdad's airport in
armored vehicles and under heavy guard to visit the city's largest market."
They also wrote, "The congressmen, who wore body armor during their hour
long shopping excursion," and went on to describe several terrorist attacks
making sure everyone gets the picture the liberal media wants to paint
concerning violence in Iraq as they try to negate any positive messages
coming from the region.
McCain responded testily, "Things are better, and there are encouraging signs.
I've been there ... many times over the years. Never have I been able to drive
from the airport, never have I been able go out into the city as I was today,"
he said.
But in the end, even the once vaunted maverick Republican is, in the world of
the liberal Democrat water-carrying media, John McCain is guilty of being a
. Republican.
So of course to the media: McCain Lied.
The die has been cast. The template is in place. The course of the Titanic will
forever be locked in position. From now on in the liberal media, anything a
Republican says can and will be presented as a lie. Get used to it.
