Guns and the Supernatural?
The Ghost Whisperer this week will be dealing about gun issues, I heard in favor of them.

This being your FIRST post Mr. GW (Ghost Whisperer?) I'm so glad you thought that much of us, that you would be so kind, as to inform us of the upcoming----TV show. I'm sure NO ONE will want to miss it. 0 -

Yeah, I heard Martha Stewart was going to do a segment on applying rhinestones and sequins to your 1911's, but that does not make it any less crap just because it has a gun in it. 0 -

Speaking of guns and the supernatural:
When I was a Paramedic in central Georgia some of our medics would moonlight at the EMS in the little county to the south. This was a privately owned EMS that had been owned by a couple named Fred and Margaret, both of whom were Basic EMTs.
After several years of running the EMS, Margaret died of cancer, had a big funeral with ambulances in it, etc.
Well, about two months after that, two of our medics, Nancy and Henry, were working a 24 hour moonlight shift down there.
Nancy came into work the next morning saying, "Ask Henry what he saw in the quarters last night."
Henry told us that he had awakened at 2am and seen a two foot wide green mist shimmering over Nancy's bunk. The green mist lit up the room. In the middle of this green mist, was the face of Margaret.
Nancy was fast asleep. Henry had run over and grabbed Nancy and dragged her out of the room, fearing for their lives.
Henry didn't give a crap about the supernatural so it was a pretty believable story, coming from him.
Henry assured us that from then on, when he laid down in his bunk at that EMS he would have a 1911 Colt acp locked and loaded under his pillow.
Now I knew that there was a for real threat to Nancy's life down there.
I told Henry that a .45 slug would be no use on a green mist ghost, that he needed to try garlic or a crucifix or something. He was hard headed, and for the next few months Nancy complained about how worried she was about Henry sleeping with that .45 under the pillow.
Thank God, the green mist with Margaret's face in it never reappeared.0 -

What a weak, pitiful way for a ghost to have to appear. In a green mist. Must be embarrasing to the ghost. If I was a ghost and was only given the choice (by who BTW) of appearing as a green mist with a face, I would politely decline.

I have never seen a ghost myself, but I do not disagree that they exist, mostly because I believe that there is life after death. I cannot say for certain if ghosts are demons or not, but I tend to lean towards that being the case. There are some on this forum who clearly seem to be against the idea of ghosts existing, and seem to have another opinion on what really happened any time someone else tells about a ghost encounter. For these folks I reckon that even if they were to see a ghost and see it act according to the way they say a ghost should, I dare say they still would not believe. My explanation for this is that if ghosts really do exist than God must really exist, and for some people that may be too hard to accept. People have always been saying that if they saw a miracle or something that they would believe in God, however it does not happen, and should a miracle do happen, they would demand another. So though people may claim to believe because of sight, I am convinced that will never happen. And if God exists.... then some people are in trouble...0 -
One more thing, though I love my gun I would consider it useless should I ever encounter a ghost. At that point I think my Bible would be more useful. Nonetheless I would have my gun handy. 0 -

This is a gun forum, guns kills zombie, not ghosts, for those you need proton ray guns like in ghost busters.
Now can we please get back on topic and decide what the best zombie caliber is. I still say 22 because you can carry alot of ammo, and if its not a headshot, its worthless0 -

Thank you Mr Smartypants. Rayguns are for man size super leeches and iradiated were-creatures, DUH! Everyone knows that for ghosts you need a spectrometer inducted high performance hoover, with a staoage bay, GOSH!

What if Tesla had researched a higher spectrum of energy and frequency and discovered a different existance? While we are familiar with positive and negative charges, what if a third, fourth, or even more, type of charge exist? We are still learning.0 -

I am surprised to get that report, ripley. I thought most of the actress types were fairly promiscuous.
I worked with a female Paramedic back in Georgia who had gone to school with Kim Basinger near Athens, Georgia in the seventies.
Anytime a movie came on [EMTs watch lots of movies at work] with Kim Basinger in it, this girl would say, "She is nothing but a s***! She did half the boys in high school."
I thought, Dammit, I went to the wrong high school! Can you imagine that at 17 years of age?0 -
