Gas shortage
A lot of folks can't understand how we came
to have an oil shortage here in our country.

Well, there's a very simple answer.

Nobody bothered to check the oil.

We just didn't know we were getting low.

The reason for that is purely geographical.

Our OIL is located in

ALASKA
~~~
California
~~~
Coastal Florida
~~~
Coastal Louisiana
~~~
Kansas
~~~
Oklahoma
~~~
Pennsylvania
and
Texas

Our
DIPSTICKS
are located in
Washington,DC !!!

There is oil in other states also..not counting the oil we import.
This is nothing more than our annual *false* oil shortage, to up
the prices.
How is it we can have "oil shortages", but when the price goes UP
there is plenty..???0 -
yep, thats about it, you got florida residents
that dont want those unsightly oil rigs on the
coast, But they complain when they have to pay
thru the nose for a gallon of gas.0 -
yep get rid of the hippies, and lets get to work with more wells, refineries etc.
we would rather import it from countries that hate us. Oh its not like we dont have the most Stringent enviromental controls on Earth, better here than somewhere where they dont care right?

Has anyone here read the book "Black Gold Stranglehold"? I'm not even sure who wrote it, but I am interested in what it says. From what I understand, this book flies in the face of convemtional wisdom claiming that the earth replenishes oil way faster than what is believed now. I'd like to know if any of y'all have read it and what it says. 0
