Mom's got a boyfriend
I'm not real excited about this. Guy is from New Orleans and seems to have no past. My mother gave me all his needed info and asked me to do a background check on him. Anyone know the best way to go about this?

to do a quick check you can use online sources, but to be thorough you should contact a private investigator.
Food for thought, when you are dating someone and think there is a need to do a background check on them, well you probably already know they have a checkered past.0 -

I agree but my mother never uses her head and always makes the worst possible decision. Lots of history to it, but the only reason I still talk with my mother is what it says in the bible otherwise I'd discontinue any form of communication like I would any other person like her.0 -
There is a guy on the forum named Paul, who is a PI and might give you a break on checking the guy out.
On the other hand...he may BE the guy.

He's not going to do anything that you probably couldn't do with the same resources, but they have access to stuff that unlicensed folk don't. And most of them (in Cali, anyway) are ex-cops who can read people and their histories pretty well. Don't get one whose background only includes things like skip tracing or "bounty hunter".
It's definitely worth the money if it's for something important, like keeping Mom out of trouble.0 -
