Any axe throwers here?
I have three throwing axes and a throwing lane set up in my backyard.
I have perfected the 1 flip, 2flip, 3flip and at 40' I can get a 4 flip.
Fun competition with teenagers.[8D]

Last time i used something like an axe it went into my leg
I decided i was gonna help and cut wood with a hatched, yep, dont cut dead wood [xx(]

I use to throw knives in college. Not competition, just for fun. I got fairly good at it, and even go decent at throwing scissors. I haven't tried axes. 0 -

I can throw an axe of any type.Can not throw a knife to well.I started when i was a kid. The large maple tree in our back yard took a beating.Most fun i have is throwing a carbon steel double side axe.I'm pretty good at about 20 to 25 feet.I just throw for fun.My friends think it is neat that i can stick it at what i throw it at.They all take turns tring to make it stick.I always tell them that is the one thing i know i can do.[:D][:D] 0 -
I tried tomahawk throwing (small ax?) at my club's open house. The guy demonstrating was about 80 yrs old and was very, very good. With his instruction I was able to make the 'hawk stick 4 out of 5 throws.

Remember the classic Tonight Show segment where the singer/actor Ed Ames was throwing axes at a reluctant Johnny Carson and he threw one in between Johnny's legs about a foot below his crotch?

Ive been throwing everything that would stick for over 50 years,axe- knives-icepicks-screw drivers- stars- homemede weapons of all shapes and sizes.Blade slinger from way back. 0 -
I did a bit of M-1 and Carbine bayonet throwing in the Army. The M-1 stuck pretty deep but handles often broke. Carbine bayonets were more fun. The occasional one with rubber grip didn't loosen up.
We got reasonably good results once we got the hang of it.0 -

In Viet Nam we threw bayonets with the same results , loose/broken handles. We took those spikes that looked like giant nails, @ 10", sharpened the point, and they made great throwers. We got pretty good with them. I'm thinking grunts have been throwing weapons for diversion for centuries.0 -
I used to throw knives a bit, and did the best with an old bayonet.

I can throw a hatchet and a knife. The one flip I can do consistantly from 20 feet and the two flip I can stick about half the time from about 30 feet. When we were kids we used to play horse throwing knives. 0
