Wishing a Better 2008
I certainly want to wish all my constitutional "buddies" out there a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a healthy and prosperous 2008. As an American, whether you are liberal, conservative, Democrat or Republican, Independent or Green Tree, young or more MATURE, YOU are my brother when the enemy comes calling. That enemy could be a terrorist from foreign origin or a terrorist on our home soil that desires to destroy all that we as Americans stand for and believe in enough to "volunteer" to fight and die for.
My wish for the new year is that we all find some way to Listen a little more, open our hearts and minds to the other man's (or woman's) view and try to hate a lot less. We simply must remember that while we can have heated debate on political and any emotionally charged issue, we must remain faithful to a UNITED States of America and stand willing to give a little to gain a lot of good for all.
The only thing none of us need to be willing to compromise in is the absolute TRUTH. Whatever my version of it or your version of it for our personal choices and needs, there is only ONE ABSOLUTE TRUTH. I truly hope that we can all work through our differences and find some common ground to live and love on.
The 2008 elections are going to be pivotal to all our constitutional foundation and I challenge every one of you to become EDUCATED and INFORMED on the issues and those seeking your vote and be involved. If you are not registered and voting regularly you are missing a great privilege that people are dying to preserve all over the world.
God Bless you and may God Bless these UNITED States. Oh and one final word for 2008, please don't let a day go by that you don't PRAY for our men and women in uniform wherever they may be around the world, whatever uniform they wear. Support the war on terror or protest it, I know you share my commitment to those brave young men and women who serve at the behest of others, without question.
