pfffblbltt. I'd vote for him. I don't know how he'd do on the economy, but I think he'd represent the American people better than any politician.

I used to believe that only liberals were blinded by ideology.....guess it shouldn't surprise me that isn't the case

...I applaud his forthright, to the point bluntness. He is saying what most conservitives wont say, because they're afraid, woosies. He is saying what most centrist dims are thinking but will not dare say because they would be eaten alive by their own

...The Nug for the President?...I think not. Number one, he would not never consider it, hell, why would he? He has it dicked now...[^]

...It is well documented that the dims have a well oiled attack machine. WTH do the conservitives not have one is beyond me. The dims lie and go after conservitives with an evil vengence, this is FACT from the mouths of several dim defectors.

... I would give my left nad for the conservitives to grow a pair and do the same. Oh, the conserivtives like to claim the high moral ground instead, why(?) when the dims attack Repubs like rabid dogs...and they dont need a reason, they happily invent the "reasons".
It's time for the Repubs to fight fire with fire, do as the dims, lie and invent reasons to hammer the dims before the dims drive America into the ground with their whacked out hate America thinking...just my $10 dollars worth...[;)]

Ted Nugent merely speaks what so many people utter in private and think in the dark recesses of their minds. I thought liberals were all about "free speech" and such. Oh yeah. I forgot. Liberals only believe in free liberal speech. I'll guarantee you that much much more has been said on the stages of liberal entertainers about President Bush over the last few years.

Some of us love Uncle Ted so much simply because he shouts from the mountaintops the things that we think but don't dare utter.

+1 except that I too am not affraid to speak it!

I have no problem letting others know my feelings about guns and the fact that I am carrying one 98% of the time!

    I think it was great.

I like the "speak English or get the F out" rant too.

    Sweaty Teddy rules.

If he were espousing the virtues of Felching, RackOps would be gushing his approval.

    LOL

As I said in an earlier topic, I like what he says, I just can't stand the messenger. Most of you people surprise me. You talk so bad about "draft dodgers" and others of that ilk, but Ted seems to get a free pass. It is well documented what he did to get out of service in Vietnam. Here's only one article (of MANY) that tell what he did...

Rutland Vermont newspaper ???? Looks like a bomb thrower of a paper. Notice how they named all Repubs and not 1 demo. I dismiss anything they may or did say !! Even if it were true, maybe it is his way of making things right as possible. Can't say that for Casuis Clay. IMHO

If you'll pardon me, these links are in no particular order...I paste them as I read.

    From his bio on artistopia
    http://www.artistopia.com/ted-nugent

In an interview for the Detroit Free Press (July 15, 1990), Nugent described how he avoided the draft: He claims that 30 days before his Draft Board Physical, he stopped all forms of personal hygiene. The last ten days he ingested nothing but junk food and Pepsi, and a week before his physical he stopped using the bathroom altogether, virtually living inside pants caked with excrement and stained by his urine. That spectacle won Nugent a deferment, he says. His quote: "but if I would have gone over there, I'd have been killed, or I'd have killed, or I'd have killed all the Hippies in the foxholes. I would have killed everybody."

Here's some stuff from Nugent's own website
    http://www.tednugent.com/news/offhisrocker.shtml

"I did not want to get my ass blown off in Vietnam."

"I wish I'd understood how important America's fight against our enemies was. But did I go to Fallujah two years ago? Damn right I did. And was I in Afghanistan, manning a 50-calibre machine gun in a Chinook - ready to rock? Yes. Was I there for years? No. A couple of weeks. But I am not a coward."

He married his first wife Sandy when both were 22. They had two children, Sasha and Toby. Sandy divorced him seven years later, accusing him of "bizarre sexual practices". She also alleged he defecated in paper cups.

Here is appearently how Nugent percieves things.

You'll notice that the guys who actually DID capture Saddam are depicted as little more than a crowd cheering him on.....

i do believe that some of the crap he says is still just "showbiz" ... don't get him confused, he's not a politician!
I was just joking when i said, "Ted Nugent for President", but I like his views, his attitude, and his craziness. I find him somewhat hummorous as well.

I see...for Uncle Ted it is OK for him to dodge the draft. He was just "making things right." [xx(]

quote:Can't say that for Casuis Clay.

At least Casuis Clay had the balls to come out and say why he wasn't going. He didn't defecate in his pants for a week to get out of going.
