Weekend at the range
I went to the range Sunday and shot the Tommy and the USP with a bunch of friends. Seems range fees are getting higher and higher. $20/hour with no discount for multiple people in 2 lanes! So we ended up paying like $120 for 5 people. What do you pay?

I am a Range Safety Officer at the local Gun Club. It has been here since WWII. Visitors pay $10.00 per visit - may be all day, but during "Sight-in" periods just before Hunting season, it can be as short as one hour. Members pay $2.00. I shoot for free. If you are Active Duty Military, LEO, or Uniformed (Fire/EMT, etc) I will pay your fees if I am on duty. 0 -

was $10/day at the range I used in Kansas, but yearly membership is $75 which covers targets and unlimited range days.
In Auburn the closest range was Uchee in the Tuskeegee (sp?) National Forest, you're SUPPOSED to buy a $3 ticket each time you go, but there is no one there to check them (I still bought them to be polite, but I'm not so sure about other people) That range is sort of wilderness though.0 -

Range requires an NRA membership: $10 per year. Plus $35 per year club fees. Plus $15 key fee if the range is trying to get more income that year. That gets unlimited access to an out-door pistol range and unlimited visits Sat AM and Wednesday evenings at an indoor police pistol range. Rifle range visits are $2/day for members.
Or drive about an hour and blast away for free at a BLM site that has plenty of spots with suitable ad-hoc berms.0 -
