RIP Lt. Beldon "Jack" Robertson
Jack was laid to rest yesterday. He was the father of an old and dear friend, and was active in our Boy Scout troop when we were kids.
A veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps in WWII, he was a bombardier on a B-25.
He had mesothelioma from exposure to various chemicals during his career as an engineer. Having some advance warning of what was to come, he made his peace with God, accepted Jesus as Savior, and was baptized. Jack lay down to take a nap last Sunday, and didn't wake up.
God rest him, and comfort his family and friends.
There aren't many like him left, and the passing of each of these men diminishes the race.
