S&W M&P Compacts
I want to know if any of you guys own or have any firsthand experience with the S&W M&P compacts? I have the full size 40 and love it and just wondering if the compact is worth the money for a carry weapon. Thanks.

I am like you...own the full size 40 and the wife has the full size 9mm. Love them...balance and point perfectly for us.
She tried the compact and felt it just didnt balance as well for her.
But it definitely would be easier to conceal than my fullsize [:D]0 -
i HAD the s&w mp40c earlier this year. the gun was great the first 700-800 rds and then the magazine would fall out when it was fired. first it was every 3 shots or so and then it became every shot. i sent it back to the factory and they replaced the spring for the mag release. i shot it another 200-250 rds. then i got rid of it. i just did not feel confident that it would be 100% reliable if needed(it was to be my chp weapon). just my 2cents. 0 -
if you notice even the pro shooters who shoot for smith&wesson do not win many matches with them, they are just fine if you shoot 1 round every second or two, but for any competition that resembles a self defense or tactical situation they totally suck
ernest langdon won cdp div in the carolina cup this year with a m&p45, but it stops there, that's a state level match he should have won overall, i have won several state matches myself, everyone who shot one at the nationals lost their azz this year0
