Frickin heaters been running all day and the house is not getting warm.
I look under the house low and behold, the main ducting has come off.
Last time a possum pulled it off trying to get warm. Hope I don't find another one under there. That .17hmr echo's REAL loud under the house.

At a house where I used to live, I noticed that the heat wasn't up to snuff.
I went down in the crawlspace [no spiders, only a rogue tomcat down there] and I saw that the main return had fallen apart.
This was a ten inch return that brought the air from the living/dining/kitchen back to the furnace.
The &*%%$$&&&!! heating and air guy, who put the system in 15 years earlier, had just assembled the pipe with paper tape, had used no screws!
This was a 30 foot section of pipe, so there were 11 joints.
I went up to the hardware store and bought a box of the screws. I put that one joint back together and taped it with duct tape.
Those screws fit right into the holder of my DeWalt cordless drill.
I shot 2 screws into each of the 11 joints, that took about 20 minutes.
I detest crummy work, and I detest the so called heating and air pro who did this s*** rigged job.0 -

Nothing under there but big ugly black widows. Whatever tore the flex ducting off was working at it pretty hard, took me over an hour to patch all the holes last night. 0 -

i had a friend that was having a coon problem, one evening he shut up his chicken coop, little did he know the coon was inside, next morning he was -40 chickens, and no he didn't eat them just killed them 0
