Tatoo....part 2

It wasn't locked out or anything, but I figured that you all would see this easier than just editing my original post.

If you go back and read my first post, I never said I was set on getting her name. I also mentioned getting some other symbol meaning something.

I'm kind of thinking of this one...

    It seems that tattoos are so overused now days, that not having one actually stands out a lot more than having one.

    I heard something interesting recently that might be of relevence. Chinese symbols can have several meanings. Remember, there are more than one Chinese dialects.
    I'd personally give getting a tattoo ALOT of thought. You have to live w/it for the rest of your life.
    I have one. An Indian "Medicine Skull" on my right shoulder. (Buffalo Skull w/feathers/beads hanging from the horns).
    Got it basically free from a tatto artist who was also a biker bro of mine.
    I had bought a large Harley Davidson mirror at a yardsale ($5.) and he wanted it for his shop. Offered a tat of my choice in trade.
    Took me 2 years to decide if I even wanted one, and what it might be. After a trip to Sturgis, I knew what I wanted. Never regretted it. But I made sure of that FIRST.

    Get a kick out of these young girls with their Butterfly tattoos, get in their 50s-60s and it will look like a dead Moth on their a$$.

    ...Make sure that it doesn't really translate to "chicken fried rice" or "moo shu pork."
    ...Think long and hard about what you may think of it 40 years down the road. I see some of Bart Simpson, South Park characters or the Rolling Stone's tongue. Those are all going to look pretty stupid in 10 years or so. I have an arrowhead with feathers, about 4" long on my upper arm. I know that I'll never look at it and ponder "WTH was I thinking?!"

    ...In my opinion, Chinese and tribal stuff has been way over done, but it's a personal choice.

    Why use a japanese symbol?
    Just tattoo FAMILY on your arm or whereever.

    Something always came up or stoped me from getting a tat on the days when I was younger and wanting one. Now I see those things that prevented me from getting a tat as a blessing.
    Never got one and now I don't think I ever will be getting one.

    those japanese "traditional" tattoo artists that use needle needles and a hammer are supposed to be very, very good with the quality of the color in their tattoos.
