Iran did, just like they did in '79-80. And no one will do a thing to them, just like back then.

...the diaper heads won. In doing so, Iran, and the entire middle East now precieves us as WEAKER.
...These twits only understand one thing, slap-azz force.

...Now that the Brits are safe out of their hands, the Brits should hit and destroy their only gasoline refinery, and their ports, and their naval fleet. Let the scum bags know that it will be worse next time if they (Iran) chooses to engage in such terroristic acts against them again...make 'em pay to play, force is all they understand...so give 'em something they understand.

...All the Dim appeasers here think we should/can talk with them, why??? Talks with them have never produced anything, except a waste of time. The longer we "talk" the more we show them we are weak and embolden them, and help to bring on more of the same type of thuggish acts; and prolong the inevitable...a military confrontation.

..Just like Nam, put off the use of all out force and allow them to prepare for the day we do meet them in battle, sad it is...[;)]

Iran "won" like a football player who cheapshots another and gets away with it "won." The moronic hometown fans yell and scream and clap, and the decent people everywhere are appalled.

Iran's problem is it wants to be a first tier nation, a US or Japan or West Germany or England or India. With its natural resources, a 50 year push on education and human rights, a renouncing of the intermingling or religion and politics (although we might have a bit of a problem with that here in the US), and an embrace of free markets and the rule of law, it could well do so. Iran, though, wants to do it on the cheap. It wants power by force and strength, and very, very few countries have ever been able to take and hold power for long in that fashion.

It was counting coup. They intended to kidnap them, say they were in their waters, and then release them just as they did, so they would look magnanimous. The sailors and their families won; no one else did.

Why we allow this is beyond me...but many things are. There are
surely games being played in the background that are much larger
than we are capable of understanding.

[8D]-With all the win/lose theories floating--

--There were only 15 winners (just like woodshermit said)--

--I still can't figure out that chick and the Bandanna--

The minute they hit British soil 15 missles should have been sent Irans way. The Brits who once were a world power are getting soft just as we are.

Because that'll settle things down over there.

i can't give a opinion, i wasn't there to verify if they where in Iranian waters or not, but the British government would never lie, and Iran is an automatic liar

lets nuke them, then look for the truth
